Rohit Sharma broke his silence on the controversial dismissal of Subhman Gill in the 2023 World Test Championship (WTC) final. On the fourth day of play, a catch from Cameron Green divided opinions after the third umpire declared it out despite no conclusive proof emerging from the replays.

Indian captain Rohit was the non-striker at the time and was seen fuming with the decision and arguing with the umpire. The 36-year-old broke his silence on the matter during the post-match press conference after India's loss and pulled no punches in calling out the decision. The Indian skipper questioned why the third umpire made his decision on limited replays. Rohit also criticised the technology available and stated that there are more cameras in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
